Political indoctrination, torture, sterilization and forced labor are not bygones of 1940; these acts are alive and well in Western China today. This presentation is taking a deep dive into the present cultural genocide of the Uighur population of Xinjiang. As government’s world-round turn a blind eye, the bare minimum we can do is watch and internalize sympathy for people living in an Orwellian world. This is not a call to action; we are five years too late for that. This is a call to educate one another on why and how this can happen in modern society, so that we never let this happen again.
